What we’ve been up to: “The two funnest girls at Cambridge Tech Week”

We’re still buzzing from a week in Cambridge, where we caught up with old friends at the University, and made new ones at Cambridge Tech Week.

The week kicked off with a talk on storytelling to incoming graduate students at the University — in the glorious surroundings of the Peterhouse lecture theatre.

A highlight of the week was our very own fringe event at Cambridge Tech Week, which attracted lots of interest. Titled “How to hook investors in the first 30 seconds”, our session showed attendees how to approach that crucial first slide of their pitch deck.

The attendees included health tech entrepreneurs, geospatial engineers and machine learning experts. They all got 8 practical tips for crafting a powerful purpose statement that compels investors to read on and excites them enough to request a meeting.

The event was so popular we were invited to repeat the presentation in a private session for a group of senior delegates from Latam.

We always like to make our sessions as entertaining as they are useful so we were chuffed when one attendee declared us “the two funnest girls at Cambridge Tech Week”. We’ll take that!

There was so much demand for the workshop, we’ve decided to run an online version of it for those who weren’t able to make it to Cambridge Tech Week.

Sign up for “How to hook investors in the first 30 seconds” on 9 October.
